The Ingenix business unit of UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH), a Minneapolis, MN based diversified health care company, acquired Worldwide Clinical Trials, a leading contract research organization, for $214 million. Ingenix provides a comprehensive line of health care knowledge and information products and services to pharmaceutical companies, health insurers and payers, care providers, large employers and governments.
